Do your security employees check identification for a bar, casino or a restaurant? Security professionals working in hospitality and entertainment venues may fall under the required training category for new California State Law.
As of 2022, the new state mandate requires beverage servers and those supervising beverage service to complete ABC-approved RBS training and examination no later than August 31, 2022.
With that deadline passed, it's essential that workers in these job categories be trained as quickly as possible to avoid compliance issues.
Mindmeld Learning has partnered with California casinos and private security firms to offer award-winning training for responsible beverage service. GETRBS.COM is helping hundreds of professionals each day with award-winning RBS instruction that is endorsed by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. As of the August deadline, the ABC estimates another 700,000 workers have yet to be trained.
“We are committed to reaching everyone who needs this training”, said Michael Aberle, CEO of Mindmeld Learning, “We worked closely with ABC to make sure the curriculum in GETRBS.COM hit all compliance targets and we worked with hospitality managers to use relevant, real world examples.”
Mindmeld’s GETRBS.COM includes new material required by law on cannabis integration into hospitality and the very specific laws about the use of cannabis in establishments that serve alcohol in California.
